8" Extension Harness for use with our FSD Heat Sync models ssd-001, 005, 006 and 007, in every model 6.5 truck 94-2005 using our SSD Advanced Technology PMD.
99.9% of the time the stock harness will reach perfectly with absolutely no stress or strain on the harness. It is the correct length to reach the new location. We have found some neophyte mechanics who may have last replaced your injection pump, may have inadvertently tangled the PMD harness around some injection tubes, making the harness a tight fit. The option has been to spend some time to untangle the previous blunder, or remove the intake manifold for better access. This 8" harness extension is for only when that happens. It is not needed in 99.9% of the time.8" is the maximum limit for a PMD/FSD extension. DO NOT lengthen further. The signal that travels between PMD and pump is in milliamps and very sensitive to resistance and connectivity issues, and will produce drivability issues and possible premature PMD failure.
Note: When using this extension, it is NOT necessary to move the ground wire from the pump. Simply leave it attached to the pump!
