The PMD is the small black box the size of a deck of playing cards on the side of your injection pump. It is a signal amplifier that powers the fuel solenoid on your injection pump. In stock location, it is prone to premature failure. I strongly suggest not re-installing it in the stock location. Mount to a remote cooler such as our FSD Heat-SyncTM. If replacing the PMD, don't forget the resistor. PMD's do not come with one and one is required. If you omit the resistor, your PCM will default to a #1 resistor setting to keep you running. But, performance and mileage will suffer greatly. I suggest a #9 resistor in all applications. See the products page for more info.
