New from SSDiesel SupplyTM, Bully Dog EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) Pyrometer kit. Monitor your EGT's to save your engine and turbo from meltdown. An absolute must to watch when increasing power, towing or if you're heavy on the accelerator. This kit gives you everything you need for an easy installation. Includes 2-1/16" gauge as pictured, mounting hardware, thermocouple, 1/8" MPT compression adaptor, thermocouple lead wire, gauge light and full installation instructions. Mounts easily in gage pod (sold separately) or directly into dash.

As you make hp, egt's rise. In stock form and if you never tow, 6.5 TD egt's rarely rise above the danger point. But if you've done any modification or tuning for more power, or tow a heavy load without knowing your egt's, it's like driving blind! This kit installs in an hour or less and will monitor your egt pre-turbo. Some kits out there monitor after-turbo temps because it's 5 minutes easier to install and a little cheaper to purchase. But diesel technicians know pre-turbo is the most accurate method of monitoring egt's, no question. I only sell what I myself would use and stand behind. Max EGT on the 6.5 TD is 1100 Degrees Farenheit pre-turbo. This gauge will give you the benefit of knowing if your tuning or driving habits are creating egt's close to or in the danger zone, and allow you to back-off the pedel to save your diesel.
