Included in this kit are 8 Marine Injectors, an installation kit which includes all gaskets hoses and clamps required to install and complete instructions. Please see install kit ssd-2120 (included) for details about that kit and installation tips rergarding the new style hose. Only the highest quality American made components are used in these injectors and install kit.

6.5 Injectors have a design life of only 100K miles and are a routine maintenance item on all diesels. Usually right after that mileage and performance drops off sharply. Symptoms of failing injectors are knocking, rough running, poor mileage, and excessive smoking and "chugging" on an overnight start due to fuel leaking into the cylinders. This excess fuel also washes off lubricant off the cylinder walls, and will destroy the engine, so don't hesitate to change routinely every 100K.

Every injector is tested twice on a Kent-Moore Model B nozzle tester for spray pattern, pop pressure and leakage before shipping which virtually eliminatates complaints.

Install tips:

Injectors are easy to change by even a weekend mechanic. They are no harder then changing spark lugs on a gas engine. The turbo will need to be removed for access, but thats only held down by 4 bolts and a few clamps.

Only handle injectors with clean hands and leave the protective caps on until the last possible moment, as a spec of dirt in an injector will cause a misfire of knock until the dirt passes or is removed by cleaning the new injector.

Do not bend the injector steel tubes as the internal coating amy flake off and also foul an injector. Just gently move aside.

I recently had a customer try to stretch the life of his injectors and got as far as 175K miles and cracked 2 pistons due to bad injectors. He bought a new engine.

Why not upgrade to add HP! Operating efficiency is also increased and will usually result in an increase in mileage.

Our Injector install/removal tool ssd-630 comes in handy. Available in the "tools" category. This special tool is designed to not damage the return nipples during install.

Also works well in non-turbo 6.5's and all 6.2's excluding 1982 trucks with course thread heads. There will be less of a power gain however in non-turbo applications.

Note: The installation kit shown only comes with 2 clamps for a reason! These are a new style high temp teflon hose which is push-on style, no clamps needed. The 2 clamps are for use with the rubber end caps shown.
